"In this role, you need to be able to communicate well and have strong leadership and planning skills. Working as a team also means you have to be good at motivating people. It is also important and essential to be clear about safeguarding policies and procedures.

The work we do really does make a difference and that fills me with immense pride. It feels great when we get positive feedback from relatives who can see their loved ones are receiving the quality care they need."

Gaynor Woods (Deputy Manager)

 Gaynor is also a registered nurse at Old Rectory so her role is varied day to day and  her wealth of experience is evident in everything she does . 

Gaynor is very thorough in her work and is a very familiar face with all of the residents, their families and professionals who come into the home .

Emma Jensen (Office Manager)

Emma is the homes Office Manager and   ensures all the finances are up to date and all records are kept up to date.

The role is varied and there are many aspects to what we complete as a team, but no two days are the same and there is rarely a quiet moment. Emma also deals with many different aspects within the home and is always availible to speak to if relatives, professionals or staff need to.

Dave & Matt are our Maintenance team and are both paramount when it comes to our residents, relatives and colleagues, their  role is to keep the home environment to the highest standards possible, ultimately creating a safe and warm place for our residents to live and colleagues to work.


Dave also manages and deals with contractors, keeping records up-to-date for our audits and complaince.

Cathy is an integral part of the office team and her role varies day to day from ensuring residents files are up to date and the staff having all their admin needs met to keeping staff records up to date.

Cath is also experinced in a senior care role and enjoys being part of all staff teams and residents within the home and is appreciated by everyone for her hard work.

Elaine, our Activities Coordinator provides a varied program of activities to meet the needs of all residents. One of the main areas for discussion is the social calendar focusing on which activities residents and visitors favour.
